Friendly staff, great food! Thanks for a fun time.
Great food, great service, fairly priced. My first trip and I'll go back soon!
Nice atmosphere ,slow service on drinks & ordering , orders don't arrive together, menu not updated & portions small , GREAT dessert
Food is good quality, I think they just had somewhere else they all wanted to be
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The decor is a bit dated but they also have several pieces of mining memorabilia, helmets, tools and photos. My fiancé had the 8oz steak that came with the soup and salad bar and one side. His steak was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on. I had the chicken cordon blue, that also came with the soup and salad bar and side. The flavor was okay, I just felt that it was probably frozen and heated per order. It seemed processed and not home made. We both had broccoli as a side it was very good, cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The salad bar is very good as well, we both had the wedding soup and thought it was fantastic!
Good food, nice to finally get out to eat, peacful outside dining. Quick service
Meatballs frozen from bag, not fresh. Steak sandwich? Bland. More like pot roast ends. Bread on sandwich very hard. Food was barely warm. Obviously put together before the rest of the tables meal. It has promise but I'd make a few adjustments. Put the salad and soup bars between the 3rd and 4th window. Put the tables there where the salad and soup bar are now. You'll free up room in front of the kitchen doors and the bars will be easily accessed from both sides of the restaurant instead of requiring your customers to cross the entire diner. Then, have the numbers you have taped to the wooden legs removed. Hire somebody to burn and stain the table numbers on the leg. The bathrooms were filthy, and one of your waiters was walking around with his shirt open flapping in the breeze. Very unprofessional.Nice decor, but some things need tightened up. Spaghetti noodles were good though. Canned sauce. Very much like tomato paste still.
The new owners food was amazing. Our party of four ranged from burgers and ham to Chicken Alfredo. The Peanut Butter Pie was better than my own homemade, Shoo fly was the best my mom ever had and my cousin's really enjoyed the coconut cream! Highly recommended!
Very good food and value. A lot of history in the building
Very good food and very friendly service!! And the prices were really good also! 😁
The owners were wonderful and very accommodating. They served us outside and were terrific hosts. Food was tasty. We loved it and still talk about it years later.
Great service and caring staff that go above and beyond. Awesome place to stop off of Lincoln Highway!
So this is your typical American style restaurant! The chicken Alfredo that I had was one of the best if not the best Alfredo I've had at a restaurant to date (forget that chain that starts with an O and ends with garden)! My daughter's bacon cheeseburger was really tasty and the hickory chicken that my wife had was really tasty also. Yes I had a taste of all of it. We found this place on our way back from camp Allegheny.
My favorite spaghetti, anywhere! Hubby had the best liver and onions ever. Beautiful atmosphere, great service and delicious food
Best owners ever. Super friendly. And made from scratch foods.
I ordered a chicken salad it was very small. I've had side salads that were bigger. I did notice that their sandwiches looked big I wish I would of had one of those, maybe next time. Service was a little slow. Nice atmosphere.
The menu needs updated. The appetizers were tasty. The atmosphere is kinda split, the dining room is very big and so is the bar area, but this place isn't open late enough to have a real "pub" feel even though that's what they're going for for sure.
Good service and great food
Delicious! Fast, friendly service.
Wonderful family owned business. Delicious food reasonably priced. Clean organized friendly staff. Highly recommend you stop. Real turkey dinner is absolutely amazing!! Everything is homemade
The food was delicious and the service was great. Very nice and cozy.
Great food and service. Love the old building and interior.
My Dad and I came in for a late lunch today. Food was great and the waitress was awesome! Definitely highly recommended this restaurant!
Everytime I call the are out of one thing or another that I want and its a little pricey for a small town restaurant. But all in all I would recommend trying it out and seeing for yourself because the food is good .
Friendly staff and excellent food.
First time visit. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Food is amazing. Peaceful atmosphere. Will certainly return once in the area again.
Absolutely love this place. Great food, great menu. Staff are always so nice. We drive 70 miles once a month to dine here. It is soooooo worth it.
The quaint old building and decor had character and my hopes were high. The staff was friendly and the service good. Unfortunately the food didn't finish off the trifecta of a great dining experience. The onion ring app was small for $5.50, and it was of the frozen, chopped and formed, store bought variety. The coleslaw side was also not homemade. The 8oz sirloin was cooked as ordered and ok, not a lot of of flavor. That may be why they brought the A1 Sauce unsolicited with the entree. My wife had the hot turkey sandwich which enjoyed immensely. Nothing was bad, it just not on par with the great surroundings. Hometown charm without the homemade cuisine. Good, but not remarkable this trip. I will give them another shot next time we pass through Jennerstown.
I had a turkey sandwich that was piled with so much turkey! Almost couldn't fit it in your mouth. All very fresh produce and bread. Side dishes were excellent. The food was really good!
Love this place. The food is awesome and the service is excellent.
Quaint "country" restaurant with better than "Diner" type food. Reasonable prices and relatively clean. Bathrooms are very clean. You can order from the menu, but I would suggest considering their "specials for the day" if you are in a hurry. During Covid season they offer outside front porch seating if you want (but you can eat inside if you prefer). The front porch is very spaceous.
Great food, ample servings
We arrived when a motorcoach load was in the middle of their meal. The staff was very busy but just kept on taking care of us. We ate on the porch and it was really nice. The gob cake was a meal in it's self.
Went to see the Flight 93 Memoral and decided to stop here for dinner. The food was OUTSTANDING and the prices are very reasonable! Awesome home cooked meals! Can't wait to visit again!!
Great place to visit on a lazy dayGreat people, food, ambience and the overall experience. Will surely visit again!? Thanks John!! :) and the girl serving me & my friends.
The buffet was a no go....looked at it and everything looked old and dry. I ordered the stuffed pork dinner. It tasted chewy like shoe leather. It tasted like meat you microwave too long. It was not edible. The potatoes were served cold. Broccoli was discolored and gross. The soda served warm with only a little ice in it. Wait staff forgot to bring items requested. Don't waste your time...big disappointment!
Hearty breakfast, something for everyone. Had the coalminer’s omelet which was chock full of meats and vegetables. Coffee’s pretty good, too, for an out-of-way diner. Very friendly service and quick to get the food out. A good find!
Historical atmosphere. Great food,, prompt and friendly service during our visit.
The food here is always good! The "diner" offers the cozy environment you've come to expect but the food is far beyond your typical diner offerings. Staff is always friendly as well. Highly recommend!
Made a stop on the way to the Flight 93 memorial. The staff was friendly and the food was good and well priced. I definitely recommend everyone to stop and try this place or even to just check it out.
Delicious home comfort food. Service was excellent. The gob sundae is amazing.
Great food and service!
Prices reasonable. Waitress friendly and attentive. Food (Reuben and Rachel sandwiches)was delicious. All good.
I have eaten breakfast here with a large group of motorcyclists (Vmax Owners Association) quite a few times. The food is always great and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The owner usually comes out to chat with us. The service is fairly fast even with 30 to 40 people in our group. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a good breakfast at a reasonable price.
Awesome as always! The gob cake is the best!
I liked this place, nice atmosphere and comfort food.
Had a great lunch,The service was great as always.
Good quality food and a very interesting old worlds feel. The only knock is that even when not busy, the service is very slow.
Great service and food. Had a dozen wings and multiple sauces.
Good food, good service and cozy decor. Have stayed a few nights several times and found rooms clean neatly and uniquely decorated. Staff even went out of their way to let us stay one Christmas when they were closed. Gave us keys to get in and out and left a number we could call if we needed anything.
